Bugleweed Ground Cover

Bugleweed is not only an excellent groundcover, but is also medicinal.

Bugleweed, sometimes called “bugle”, is a plant that is commonly used for covering an area of ground that tends to erode, or to cover an area that is hard to mow, or to  prevent weeds from growing on a spot.  It gets its name from the shape of the leaves that resemble tiny bugles.  However, there is much more to the little bugleweed plant than meets the eye.
Bugleweed is a perennial, which means it grows and blooms every year without re-planting it.   If you live in an area with mild winters, bugleweed is also evergreen.  It will spread so quickly that some people may pull out some of it, if it gets out of control.  Read More
